Prime Minister of the Republic of India H.E. Mr. Shri Narendra Modi will pay a state visit to Mongolia on May 16-18, 2015 upon the invitation of Prime Minister of Mongolia H.E. Mr. Chimediin Saikhanbileg.
The significance of the visit is highlighted as the first ever visit by an Indian Head of the Government, while coinciding with the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and India.
During the visit, the two Prime Ministers will hold official talks. Prime Minister N. Modi will also call on the President and the Speaker of the State Great Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia respectively before addressing a special session of the State Great Hural.
Mongolia and India are expected to sign a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in renewable energy sector and our side invited the Minister for New and Renewable Energy of the Government of India, Piyush Goyal through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia. Mongolia and the Republic of India have established the diplomatic relations on December 24, 1955.
